El Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este es un certamen que no deja nunca a nadie indiferente. En cada edición se muestran algunos de los modelos clásicos más importantes de las principales compañías del sector del automóvil. Este año, una vez más, no ha decepcionado a los asistentes, los cuales han podido ver algunas de las creaciones más espectaculares sobre vehículos históricos.
Uno de los ejemplos más llamativos es el BMW 2002 Hommage, un modelo creado basado en uno de los primeros modelos de la firma alemana con un toque racing. Así pues, no podría dársele un mejor nombre que el de Hommage, homenaje en su habla materna. Obviamente es una actualización retro pero que podría perfectamente ser el sustituto tras más de 50 años de diferencia entre ambos modelos.
La firma BMW ha querido de esta forma rendirle un más que merecido homenaje como ya lo hizo con el histórico M3 E30, el cual lo volvieron a diseñar dotado con la tecnología actual y con un aire modernizado.
BMW 2002 Hommage, el homenaje que se merecía el histórico
Basado, obviamente, sobre el grandioso 2002 Turbo de los años 70, esta reconstrucción es la mejor interpretación de adaptación de un modelo del calibre del deportivo alemán. 50 años han pasado desde el tradicional comenzó a surcar las carreteras de montaña. Ahora, en uno de los festivales más grandiosos del automovilismo se ha presentado este concept con alma racing.
Inconfundible es su imponente figura. Nada más y nada menos que unas angulosas formas son las que este one off posee para parecerse a lo que supuso el 2002 Turbo para la compañía. Hay que destacar las descomunales formas de los paragolpes delantero y trasero y las grandiosas aletas de ambos extremos, las cuales contribuyen en aportar una imagen más enfurecida que la que desprendía el modelo original.
En el interior del capó está presente el increíble motor que comparte con el modelo M más pequeño del momento, el juguetón M2. Así pues, un propulsor 3.0 TwinPower Turbo de 370 CV provocará cada una de las sonrisas que seguramente se dibujen en el rostro del afortunado conductor. De esta manera, los tonos rojos, blancos y azules de BMW Motorsport se combinan a la perfección para crear una atmósfera que tiene la deportividad y el tradicionalismo en la conducción por bandera.
Así pues, ahora solo queda disfrutar de la batería de imágenes en las que aparecen tanto el modelo original como una de las mejores representaciones que BMW ha realizado en base a un modelo mítico.
