Final de año animado con novedades, aunque sean restyling. El problema es que personalmente, odio los restyling; son aburridos, no significan nada realmente interesante y terminan durmiéndote con boletines espectacularmente largos, como éste de BMW que llega a 47 páginas, para terminar resumiendo todo con una simple afirmación: ‘apenas hay cambios’.
En serio, apenas hay cambios. Me ha pasado lo mismo que con el lavado de cara del Citroën C4 que publicamos ayer, no he podido apreciar prácticamente nada de nada, he tenido que usar la nota de prensa para poder comprobar que en realidad, si que ha cambios aunque sean ínfimos.
Cambios estéticos de detalle
Ínfimos detalles deberíamos decir. A simple vista, no creo que fuera capaz de diferenciar el modelo de la foto, del que circula actualmente por las calles si no los tuviera a los dos uno junto al otro. Es evidente que el diseño funciona, me gusta, pero han realizado unos cambios que más parecen una escusa para salir en los medios que algo realmente necesario.
Por ejemplo, la calandra típica de BMW, con sus dos riñones, ahora cuenta con más lamas en su rejilla, los paragolpes delantero y trasero se han perfilado ligeramente, se incluyen nuevas llantas y los terminales de escape de las versiones con motor de seis cilindros son más grandes.
Los espejos laterales también son nuevos, más aerodinámicos, las llantas son de nuevo diseño y la gama de colores se renueva. Igualmente, se amplían las opciones de personalización.
Nuevos paquetes de acabado
Del equipamiento de la nueva Serie 6 de BMW, lo más destacable es la introducción de dos nuevos acabado de la línea ‘Design Pure’ con las dos vertientes típicas: deportiva y lujosa. La primera, el Design Pure Experience, subraya el carácter deportivo con detalles en negro brillante, llantas de 19 pulgadas especificas, tapicería de piel coñac/negro y listones de madera entre otras cosas.
La segunda opción, el acabado Deseign Pure Excellence, no es un cambio excesivamente radical respecto al primero, pero busca ofrecer más lujo. La tapicería es también bitono, pero en lugar del tono coñar, es marfil, el tapizado de piel del salpicadero tiene costuras en contraste y las aplicaciones de madera son de álamo noble de color gris. Las llantas son también de 19 pulgadas.
Por supuesto, no falta el kit M, con su tratamiento aerodinámico específico para la carrocería, llantas, volante y tapizados específicos, así como una serie de detalles que lo hacen el paquete más deportivo de los tres, como puede ser inserciones de aluminio en lugar de madera.
Mecánicamente sigue todo igual que la actual BMW Serie 6.
