Sistema híbrido Asterion

Actualmente se encuentra exhibiéndose en el Salón del Automóvil de París, y ha suscitado muchas preguntas entorno a el, ya que se trata del primer modelo híbrido “enchufable” de la marca italiana, pero desde Lamborghini, dicen que se trata de un modelo para demostrar como funciona su tecnología, y que no tienen ninguna intención de llevar a la producción este nuevo modelo.

La compañía ha creado un video en 3D para explicar como funciona el sistema híbrido. Se trata de un Lamborghini Huracán con motor V10 5.2 atmosférico con 610 cv al que se le han añadido tres motores eléctricos que proporcionan unos 300 cv de potencia adicional, lo que lleva al coche a desarrollar una potencia combinada de 910 cv.

Cuando se selecciona el modo híbrido, el Asterion se pone en marcha en modo eléctrico y funciona como un coche de tracción delantera, después de sobrepasar los 50 km/h el motor de combustión entra en funcionamiento y permite que el Asterion tenga tracción a las cuatro ruedas en modo híbrido. Pulsando el botón “Zero” situado en el volante, el motor V10 se apaga y el coche vuelve a funcionar únicamente con la potencia proporcionada por los tres motores eléctricos.

En el modo eléctrico es capaz de recorrer hasta 50 km de distancia en la que es capaz de alcanzar 125 km/h, mientras que funcionando como un vehículo híbrido alcanza los 100 km/h en 3 segundos y tiene una velocidad maxima de 320 km/h. Usando el motor convencional junto a los tres motores eléctricos, el Asterion sera capaz de tener un consumo combinado de combustible de 4,2 litros cada 100 km con unas emisiones de CO2 de 98 gramos por kilómetro.

Según las declaraciones del CEO de Lamborghini, Stephan Winkelmann, en el Salón de París, la compañía no tiene previsto realizar un coche producción con características híbridas todavía, pero algunos de los elementos exhibidos en el nuevo concept, es probable que se incorporen en el Urus. Winkelmann llegó a decir que no es un gran fan de los híbridos, y que preferiría tener una versión de producción con el diseño del Asterion propulsado únicamente por un motor de combustión y sin ningún tipo de asistencia eléctrica.
