Del trío formado por Audi, Mercedes y BMW, si hay alguna marca que se lleva el gato al agua en cuanto a un modelo determinado de los años ochenta y noventa es la tercera. Lógicamente, estarás pensando en el increíble BMW M3 E30. Ya sea por el diseño de la carrocería, la motorización empleada en un coche de este segmento o cualquier otra distinción, lo cierto es que la cotización de estos coupés no para de subir.
Dejando a un lado la controversia que genera el tema de la burbuja especulativa que está cociéndose en el mundo del coche clásico, la verdad es que no tiene ningún competidor destacado. Ni Mercedes Clase C Coupé ni Audi RS5 habían aparecido aún en el mercado por lo que todo el pastel se lo llevó el histórico M3, dando lugar al comienzo de una saga que aún se mantiene viva hasta el día de hoy.
Aún así, teóricamente sí que podría lidiar con otro competidor germano proveniente de la firma de la estrella. Mercedes llegó tarde pero al menos logró apostar por un modelo que cautivaría a los apasionados de las subastas en la actualidad. Se trata del Mercedes-Benz 190-Series 2.5-16V, una berlina perfecta para la conducción deportiva. Tras un tiempo en el mercado, quisieron incrementar la presión sobre el otro modelo germano, dando lugar al Evolution II en el 1990.
Ahora, una de las 502 unidades fabricadas sale al mercado por la desdeñable cifra de 279.000 dólares, unos 245.000 euros al cambio actual. ¿te decantarías por este clásico habiendo rivales por un precio mucho más bajo?
Mercedes-Benz 190-Series 2.5-16V Evo II
Entre las numerosas particularidades de este edición limitada, está que contó con la homologación necesaria para poder competir en el DTM, una de las pruebas más importantes dentro del mundo de la competición. Otra de ella es la imposibilidad de circular en tráfico abierto en el Estado de California por considerarse un coche sin homologación, puramente para el disfrute en circuito.
La unidad que sale al mercado corresponde a la número 345, habiendo marcados en el odómetro un total de 17.578 kilómetros recorridos. Con ello puede decirse que es una de las unidades que, a priori, posee un mejor estado de conservación por el poco kilometraje que acumula.
Estéticamente los cambios respecto a cualquier 190 convencional son muy notorios. Paragolpes delantero y trasero mucho más musculosos, pasos de rueda con una apariencia mucho más agresiva y un alerón gigante sobre el maletero son los principales cambios que distinguen esta versión de la natural.
En relación al motor, poseía bajo el capó un propulsor de 4 cilindros en línea que desarrollaba una potencia total de 235 CV. Ello, junto a un peso contenido de poco más de 1.300 kilogramos, le hacía un auténtico rival del BMW M3 E30, la competencia más dura de esta berlina.
El precio, una vez más, es de 245.000 euros y el anuncio puede encontrarse en el portal Ebay. Algunos de los principales motivos por el alto precio son, además de su bajo kilometraje, una nula siniestralidad ni ninguna participación en una carrera por lo que se puede garantizar el correcto funcionamiento de todos los componentes del vehículo.
