En esta época de crisis que vivimos, da gusto ver como fábricas como la que posee SEAT en Martorell tienen un futuro brillante y esperanzador. Si hace poco sus trabajadores pudieron celebrar nada más y nada menos que la fabricación del SEAT Ibiza número 5 millones ahora podemos conocer mejor cómo funciona dicha fábrica gracias a un vídeo difundido por la propia compañía.
Cuando vamos a recoger nuestro vehículo nuevo, normalmente nunca nos preguntamos cómo ha sido todo el proceso de fabricación del mismo, cómo han ensamblado tales piezas, o qué técnicas se han empleado para la pintura, por ejemplo. Pues bien, gracias a este genial vídeo grabado con un dron por fin podemos conocer algo más de los entresijos de una de las fábricas más importantes que SEAT tiene repartidas a lo largo y ancho del planeta. Como habrás observado en el vídeo, Martorell es enorme; ocupa una superficie de 2,8 millones de m2, es decir, lo que vendría a ser 400 campos de fútbol dispuestos uno junto al otro. Llaman la atención el gran número de placas solares que componen el mayor parque solar de la industria del automóvil, con 53.000 paneles solares que se traducen en un ahorro ambiental que alcanza las 7.000 toneladas de C02 anuales.
Más que una fábrica, se trata de una pequeña ciudad perfectamente estructurada cuyos datos son realmente llamativos. Ya los has podido ver en el vídeo, pero te los repasamos por si se te ha escapado alguno.
En el Taller de Prensas es donde comienza el proceso de fabricación de un coche. Aquí se realizan 6.400.000 golpes de prensa por año y cada uno de ellos genera una fuerza equivalente al peso de 500 coches.
En Chapistería, un total de 2.173 robots se encargan de ensamblar las diferentes partes de la carrocería.
En el Taller de Pinturas se utilizan 6.400.000 kilos de pintura al año, con lo que se podría pintar 100 veces la Torre Eiffel.
En el taller de Montaje, donde todo se ve perfectamente coordinado, se llegan a montar 1,3 billones de partes del coche en un año, suficientes para construir un total de 330 Airbus A-380, el avión comercial más grande del mundo.
Y finalmente, la producción abarca más de 400.000 coches que viajan a más de 75 países de todo el mundo y que si los pusiéramos en una línea recta desde Martorell llegarían hasta Londres.
