Volvo, exceptuando modelos del preparador oficial Polestar y algunos míticos que pasaron por la línea de producción sueca, se suele concebir con seguridad y comodidad antes que por la deportividad.
Sin embargo, el paquete R-Design ha mostrado en los últimos años una popularización por toda la gama que la firma con capital chino posee. Las versiones deportivas, hasta ahora, habían logrado colarse hasta en el segmento del SUV premium el XC90 renovado el pasado año.
Ahora, la berlina más lujosa también recibe la posibilidad de disponer de un acabado más racing pese a que seguramente el demandante de un coche así tenga entre sus preferencias la calidad de los acabados, la seguridad o el confort en el habitáculo antes que contar con un pack que resalte la figura.
Volvo S90 y V90, por qué tienen sus packs deportivos exteriores
Puede sonar extraño en la compañía sueca pero si uno se fija en la competencia que estos dos modelos tienen en Alemania uno podrá ver que los paquetes S Line, AMG o M no desentonan para nada. ¿Por qué juzgar así al nórdico entonces?
Ninguna de las generaciones anteriores del S80 logró contar con su correspondiente paquete deportivo. Ni exteriormente ni que afectase tampoco al interior. Ahora bien, este nuevo S90, sucesor del ya extinguido buque insignia hasta este momento, sí que lo incorpora y la verdad es que no desentona para nada con su tradicional estilo vanguardista.
La decisión tomada por el órgano de control de la filial del grupo Geely confirma el viraje de marca hacia una nueva etapa que comenzó con la presentación de la última generación del todoterreno, diseñado y producido en su totalidad bajo la nueva dirección.
Tal y como se puede observar en el diseño de la carrocería, la presencia del gris satinado se puede ver en los umbrales de las puertas, en la carcasa de los retrovisores y en un nuevo diseño de la calandra. Además, los paragolpes delanteros y traseros poseen un nuevo diseño, los cuales presentan ahora un corte mucho más deportivo que el convencional.
Por otro lado, no se podría estar hablando de una silueta más deportiva sin hacer mención al nuevo juego de llantas que incorpora tanto la versión sedán como la ranchera. En ambos casos denota una inequívoca sensación de deportividad que podría quedar rematada con el sonido del motor T6 de 320 CV de potencia.
En cuanto al interior, ambos modelos se podrán configurar para traspasar toda la deportividad del exterior al habitáculo, predominando el color negro que siempre se ha identificado con esta cualidad. Aún así, contará con todo el equipamiento disponible que se caracteriza en la versión convencional para dotarle al conductor y al resto de pasajeros una experiencia más que reconfortante.
Llegará a los concesionarios en los próximos meses por lo que aún habrá que esperar un tiempo para poder ver la nueva silueta que estrenan los nuevos Volvo S90 y V90. Mientras tanto siempre podrás disfrutar de este paquete R-Design de nueva factura en la montura del nuevo XC90 ya que por primera vez se puede acoplar.
